Thankfulness

It’s hard to believe that we are about to embark on yet another holiday season. Out of all the holidays, my favorite has to be the most stripped down one…Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is one of the most diluted holidays as far as commercialism goes, but is the one with the most meaning and pertinence – not just on that day, but for the entire year.

It is amazing how many people actually forget or overlook the importance of being grateful for their everyday lives and the people in them. It takes time and effort to really be mindful of all the small things that matter in our lives. For instance, do you actually know what your body does for YOU every single minute of every day? Without getting into the nuts and bolts of it, it is sufficient to say that it is one of the most amazing miracles that happens every day without us even acknowledging it.

Do you ever think about all the people in your life and why they are in it? Whether it’s for support, friendship, motivation, love or just simply to help us to look at things differently. It is something to be mindful of.

Gratitude comes in all different shapes and sizes, but when it really comes down to it, the simplicity of it is quite inspiring. It’s the inspiration we feel when we really appreciate the visit of an old friend, or the feeling you get when you see someone you haven’t seen in a while and it feels like they never left. The hardest one is when we lose someone to death and it finally makes us realize how precious life, and everyone in it, actually is.

My wish for all of you is to really stop, listen and reflect on all the great people, places and things in your lives. It really takes a conscious effort every day to pay attention and mindfully live in the moment and give GRATITUDE for that moment.

Maybe this November we can all just take a minute at the end of every day and think of three things we are grateful for from that day. Whether it be your significant other, your kids, or even your dog greeting you at the door every day.

I’d like to take this opportunity to THANK each and every one of YOU for all your support for Vive. It is all of you that believed in us enough to join and be a part of Vive – and for that, I can never be grateful enough!

In closing, it is my thought for all of you to give thanks for all you have and all of those who enrich your lives. Take the time to cherish all of those everyday special moments. I bet by Thanksgiving, YOU will see the true meaning and simplicity of the holiday! Vive wishes all of YOU and your families a very Happy and Grateful Thanksgiving.
