What was the date of the event?

Dec 14, 2015

What was the Event name?

The Coming Home for Christmas Classic – Southern Power Lifting Federation in Allentown, PA.

What were your stats?

I deadlifted my person best of 315 pounds. I took first place in the Women’s Push/Pull and am ranked 7th overall in the Southern Power Lifting Federation.

How did VIVE or VIVE trainers helped you to reach your goals?

VIVE trainers DanaTomCorey, and Brent have truthfully been amazing to work with. Each one has contributed in one way or another to help me achieve my goals. Whether it be working out in the functional training room during open gym, or one on one, I have learned more about total body conditioning than ever before.

Corey and Dana have both created unique workouts for me to help with my strength training. There are times that I am working out and Corey will just walk over to give a little advice or encouragement. This goes a long way. Ed Ferkel taught me the importance of fueling my body before and after my intense workouts and encouraged me immensely at the the competition. Lucas has by far had the most impact on my powerlifting. He has coached me from day one and I couldn’t be more thankful for his time and commitment. I seriously couldn’t have done it without any of them.

What were your feelings about the experience and what are your future plans/goals since reaching this milestone?

VIVE has an amazing staff and comfortable atmosphere which has allowed me to achieve my personal goals. I am currently training for the Pennsylvania State Powerlifting Championships that will take place in March. My goal is to deadlift 325 pounds.

November 2015 I started running about 7 years ago, at age 48, after a surgical procedure really took it’s toll on me mentally and physically. I started out running/walking, but soon began experiencing the “runners high”, and decided that although it would take work, I wanted to just run, and run longer distances. So the

January 2016 How many years ago did decide to start your weight loss journey? I started in 2012, basically with some small changes in eating habits, and increasing exercise over time. I started out with walking shorter distances and gradually increased the distance and then began running. With my eating habits, I started with switching
